City Break was my first solo gallery exhibition in Tokyo. I sent and displayed 23 pieces in the prestigious Orie Gallery located in the fashionable area of Kita Aoyama Minato-ku in Toyko.
The Evening kicked off with a presentation by me on how I created the ‘City Break’ work. It was the first time I had documented my processes and shown how my work is made. I realised the importance of revealing the complexity of my work, this somehow made me value and appreciate the journey that each piece took to be produced. I also think that the people who came to the show also understood more about my work.
After the presentation my guests had an opportunity to look at my works.
Wonderful food was prepared by KOJIMACHI CAFE and FACTORY which included my signature dessert of Chocolate Chilli Cheeseake.
The party continued and people seemed to be having a lovely time as can be seen by the next few pictures.
As with all Oscar moments I would like to thank all those who made this exhibition possible.
