Open Studio in May

The May Festival in Brighton and Hove is one of my annual calender events.  This year did not disappoint with hundreds of people visiting my studio and a few sales to keep me going and spire me to create new works.

I really appreciate people choosing my venue and letting me know their thoughts and comments about my work.  With up to 300 open houses and studios to choose from it is a delight to me that they take the time to come to Biscuit Studio.

The Studio is a working space which I transform into a gallery during the month of May.  This means considerable work is undertaken to tidy, add partition walls, paint and curate the show.  I also spend a lot of time selecting and arranging flowers that complements my work.

My work isn’t just about producing art pieces but also creating the environment for the work to sit.  This means spending time considering and designing the space.  I really enjoy creating beautiful spaces for my work.

I have included a few more images from the Studio for you to view as a reminder of the exhibition or for you to see what you have missed.

Please remember that the studio is open by appointment throughout the year, so if you see any pieces you are interested in I am more than happy to show you if they are still available.

In the meanwhile I hope you might be able to join me for the May Festival 2011 or Maybe I will see you before then.
